Katelyn "Katie" Wilson has been a registered nurse for 6 years, specializing in emergency medicine and trauma services. Currently, she works for LewisGale Medical Center as the Trauma Injury Prevention and Outreach Coordinator, bringing education to the community to promote prevention measures. In this role, she is a certified Tai Chi instructor, A Matter of Balance coach, CarFit technician and event coordinator, Stop the Bleed instructor, Trauma Nursing Core Course instructor, and more!
She is very passionate about developing conversations around prevention strategies, aging, and death/dying. Some of her goals include helping people avoid injury/hospitalization expanding how we define "aging," and encouraging people of all ages to discuss end of life care.
